Every spring we organise a club trip to Scotland in search of the elusive spring salmon. Previous destinations include the River Tay and the River Spey, in 2020 we will travel head to Aberdeenshire to fish the famous River Dee. Details of the trip are below;
Arrival: Wednesday 8th April
Fishing: Thursday 9th, Friday 10th & Saturday 11th April
Depart: Sunday 12th April (departure flexible based on your needs)
- Crathes Castle
- Invery & Tilquhillie
- Lower Blackhall & Banchory
The Dee is widely recognised as one of the UK’s best rivers for spring salmon, prices reflect this status. As with all of our activities we aim to keep the costs as low as possible however we also want to balance that with giving you the best possible chance to catch a springer.
The cost of the fishing for this trip is £330 per person.
Base camp for 2020 will be Banchory, a busy town ideally situated on the middle river making travel to and from the beats simple. We have secured discounted rates with 3 hotels in the town, members are required to contact their chosen hotel to make their reservation.
Note: 1st March 2020 – Due to unforeseen circumstances we now have a single vacancy for this trip at a reduced rate of £250 (fishing only & accommodation extra).
Should anyone wish to take up this excellent opportunity they would fish the following beats
Thurs 9th – Crathes Castle
Fri 10th – Invery & Tilquhillie
Sat 11th – Kincardine
